Design work is now complete and the tender documents are ready to be issued to selected contractors for pricing under competitive tender. This will happen in the next few weeks as the tender list is finalised.

We should then receive tenders by late September / early October. All being well, and subject to diocese approval, we are on programme to commence construction works during the early months of 2027.

The estimated cost of the works is around £1.4 million subject, obviously, to receipt of competitive tenders. We are now working towards applying for available grants, which, if successful, should assist, although this funding is expected to be quite small in relation to the overall anticipated cost of the works.

Our neighbours will be advised of the upcoming works by letter drop (probably by late September) and there will be an opportunity for all parishioners and neighbours to meet the design team to discuss the works in more detail during October or November.
