Last week you contributed £2960 which was divided between the EK Community Food band and “Loaves and Fishes.” There are almost more collections here for this cause than for all other secondary causes combined. This has resulted in monies due to third parties being paid from our general funds. That will not be sustainable once work begins and we are in debt. 

The EK Foodbank has outreach points in many churches across EK, all of the reformed tradition. I have offered Our Lady of Lourdes as a distribution place for food parcels. I am sure they will respond in time. I have also been considering establishing a food bank here for ourselves and although I have put that on hold for the moment, I am not yet done with such a possibility. I will keep you informed.
