The next collection for our local Foodbanks is the weekend of 4/5^th May. Demand for these continues to grow with around 400 bags being issued each week at an average cost of £35 per bag. This is met either through food donations or through financial contributions. Both the Community Foodbank and Loaves & Fishes have restated this week that they could not survive without the outstanding generosity of the parishioners of Our Lady of Lourdes. In other words, they would have to turn people away or reduce the contents of each bag. Thank you so much for your sustained and sustaining support for those most in need.
