We have a very small but dedicated band of Eucharistic Ministers who assist with the distribution of Holy Communion and, in many cases, take the Blessed Sacrament to sick and housebound parishioners.
Since arriving here, it is evident to me that we really need more parishioners to take on this ministry. That would help us, for example, take Holy Communion again to patients in Hairmyers Hospital. Not a week goes by without calls from people asking for the Eucharist from the hospital.

There will be a meeting with the new volunteers on Tuesday 17th September at 7pm in the Chapel House.
