  Parish Groups

 

Badminton

 

To encourage and foster the game of badminton.

 

Hall: Sunday: 2:00pm-5:00pm

Bingo

Recreational evening
and raising funds for
the parish.
Hall: Tuesday: 7:30pm-9:00pm.

Bowling (Indoor/Outdoor)

To provide facilities for indoor/outdoor bowling. Lounge - alternate Wednesday: 7:00pm to 10:00pm and Sunday: 9:00pm-10:00pm

 

Charismatic Prayer Group

To meet weekly praising God in prayer and song. Lounge: Thursday: 8:15pm-10:30pm.

Children's Liturgy

To give children their own Liturgy of the Word during Mass which is more appropriate to their age. During school term on Sundays during
the 10:30am Mass.

Eucharistic
Ministers

The Eucharistic Ministers take Holy Communion to the sick in their homes
and to those in Hairmyres hospital each Sunday.

 

Friendship Club

To offer senior citizens happy social contact by providing a variety of enjoyable activities. Lounge: Tuesday: 1:30pm-4:30pm.

 

Hiking Club

To encourage interest in hill walking in a spirit of Christian fellowship.


Main Hall: alternate Thursdays: 8:15pm

HOPE

Assisting offenders, prisoners and families.

 

Legion of Mary

Personal sanctification of members through prayerful meetings and apostolic work, including house visitations.
Meet in the Committee Room: Monday: 8:15pm.

Lourdes Group

Promoting Our Lady's Grotto Group, organising visits and helping to raise funds for handicapped pilgrims.

Merciful Jesus
Prayer Group

An hour of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament
to spread devotion to
the Divine Mercy.
In the Church: Tuesday: 2:00pm-3:00pm.

Mother/Toddlers

To foster a happy
Christian relationship among the young
mothers of the parish.


Main Hall: Thursday: 10:00am-12:00noon.

R.C.I.A.

For those who are not Catholics and who are interested in knowing
more about or who wish
to become a full member
of the Catholic Church

St. Vincent de Paul (S.V.D.P.)

Charitable group within the Church who bear witness to Christ by establishing a mutual bond of love and understanding between members and those who require brotherly aid.
Meet Hall: Tuesday: 7:30pm.

Third World Group

To raise awareness of needs of Third World countries by education
and fund raising
objectives.
Meet in Hall:
1st Sunday of month: 7:15pm.

 

Women's Guild

Provides a Christian
based association of
ladies with a social and spiritual programme of activities.


Hall: Monday: 8:00pm.
